Here are some photos that we took mid-September of some of the work being done at the apartment.  Also included are photos of a beautiful antique armoire for the guest bedroom, and a 100 year old writing desk that we purchased for the computer and printer.

 

Followup 9/26:  Just arrived back home in Denver.  Will be including photos of the unit with first coat of paint, some flower boxes and some more of the lovely antiques that we acquired for the apartment, plus the sofa and matching side chair.

 

Followup 10/11:  Added more photos of the bathroom, water closet and kitchen areas, plus a photo of the chandelier for the DR.

 

Followup 10/18:  Added more photos of additional furnishings, and progress on marble installation and kitchen cabinets.

 

Followup 10/19:  Added some photos of additional furniture we acquired, all antique and quite beautiful.  Bath and WC marble completion targeted by next Wednesday.  New flooring to be completed by next Friday. Wainscoating in on Monday.  By next weekend, the apartment will really look different!

Followup 11/14/07:  I have been adding photos every couple days while we are in Paris as the work is nearing completion and the apartment starting to take shape. We are still on target for an end of month completion. I can speak from firsthand experience, that the apartment is already quite beautiful, and the setting is spectacular.

 

Followup 1/23/08:  Since my last update, I am pleased to report that all of the work at the apartment has been completed.  We had a minor delay after we learned that our supplier for the granite countertops went out of business.  Fortunately, we hadn't paid them yet!  A new supplier was found, and the counters were installed last weekend.  Nonetheless, the apartment has been in continuous use by our Owners since mid-December.
